Ever been curious about Weaving? Catch weaver fever and learn the basics of Tapestry Weaving in this beginner-friendly workshop. Over the course of a fun and relaxing afternoon, you’ll be taught all the skills needed to create and design your very own textile. Looms and all materials included.
In this workshop you will learn:
All about looms and the tools associated with weaving
The difference between the warp and weft and how to set up a loom
All the various stitches including plain weave, soumak, and rya knots
How to add fringe and tassels
How to incorporate a variety of fiber weights and textures
How to plan and execute your own design

You don't need to bring anything! All materials, including the loom, yarns, and tools, are provided as part of the class fee. You are welcome to bring any of your own materials if you would like, but it is not necessary.

The class is four hours long. This gives you ample time to learn the techniques and create a beautiful woven piece to take home.

To ensure a personalized experience, the class size is limited to a maximum of eight students, with only one instructor. You can expect to receive plenty of individual attention and guidance throughout the class. If you're looking for even more personalized attention, we also offer private weaving lessons.
